How can we best care for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) today?

Knowledge about IBD and its treatments—some long established, others just coming onto the market—is advancing rapidly. Some data is more firmly established, some is outdated, and some is still being debated. The aim of this new edition is to provide readers with up-to-date information on the diagnosis, organization of care, and management of patients with IBD in the form of a practice-oriented book to help and inspire clinicians in their daily work.

Designed as a “toolbox” for practical help on a daily basis, the book is organized around questions and answers. Fifty mini-chapters grouped by major themes each answer a specific question. Short and concrete, they are based on the views of the authors, who share their expertise and specific experience, offering readers a quick and concise overview that they can navigate freely. The authors, who have extensive experience, were not tasked with writing a traditional review, but rather with expressing what they do in practice when faced with the most common clinical situations in IBD.
